Terry’s Picks: April 16

Recently read: A great Wall Street Journal article on NYWIFT Board member Anne Hubbell’s and Amy Hobby’s new film production company, Tangerine Entertainment, that focuses on producing films directed by women. Read about it on the NYWIFT site.

Can’t stop thinking about: Sunday night’s episode of The Good Wife, directed by Brooke Kennedy, the show’s producer. It was an excellent episode showcasing strong female talent both in front of and behind the camera. Kennedy is a powerhouse — directing episodes last season of The Good Wife, as well as directing episodes of Third Watch, which she also produced.

Go check out: The new website FEMinc, a content discovery and recommendation service that helps you find strong, female characters from all walks of life.

Terry Lawler is the Executive Director of NYWIFT. Tune in every Tuesday for her picks of the week.
