Never one to mince words, the Women and Hollywood blog held not only Cannes accountable this year but also many of the male attendees, who’s offhanded comments do nothing to raise the profile of women in the industry.
This year only one woman was chosen for the main competition: Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi. This is a step up from the zero last year that prompted a petition.
Make sure to check out and support the films by women that did shine at Cannes this year.
