New York Women in Film & Television’s programs in March are open for registration:

NYWIFT at ReelAbilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival: Invitation to Dance
Saturday, March 8, 7:30 pm
The JCC (334 Amsterdam Avenue)
NYWIFT is co-presenting Invitation to Dance by Simi Linton and Christian Von Tippelskirch, which received funding from NYWIFT’s Loreen Arbus Disability Awareness Grant. The screening will be followed by a reception.

NYWIFT Night Out
Monday, March 10, 6:30-8:30 pm

We are holding a special Night Out where you can meet the candidates for NYWIFT’s 2014-2015 Board of Directors. Just like our regular monthly Night Out events, this will be a great opportunity to get to know other NYWIFT members and the staff.

Preservation Screening at Montclair Film Festival: Joe & Maxi
Tuesday, March 25, 7 pm
Montclair State University (1 Normal Avenue, Montclair, NJ)
Join us for a screening of Maxi Cohen’s groundbreaking film Joe & Maxi (1973) and a discussion about the film and about film preservation. Preserved by NYWIFT’s Women’s Film Preservation Fund, Joe & Maxi is an intimate, revealing portrait of the relationship between a father and daughter.

SWAN Day 2014 Screening + Talk: The Supreme Price
Saturday, March 29, 2 pm
SVA Theatre (333 West 23rd Street)
Join us for a screening of the documentary The Supreme Price, followed by a Q&A and reception, in recognition of SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day. The film, produced/directed by Joanna Lipper, traces the evolution of the Pro-Democracy Movement in Nigeria and efforts to increase the participation of women in leadership roles.
