NYWIFT Fund for Women Filmmakers Extends Deadline

It Felt Like Love, winner of the Nancy Malone Marketing and Promotion Grant and a 2013 Sundance Film Festival Official Selection.

New York Women in Film & Television (NYWIFT) provides grants to women filmmakers to complete and promote their film projects. This year, those grants include a new addition: the Ravenal Foundation Grant, supporting a woman second-time feature film director who is over 40 years of age in the production of a dramatic feature film.  

The submission deadline for the grants has been extended to June 22, 2014 — except for the Ravenal Foundation Grant; its deadline is July 15, 2014.

Loreen Arbus Disability Awareness Grant for $7,500 is awarded to a U.S.-based woman filmmaker for a film on physical or developmental disability issues. For details and to apply.

In-Kind Post-Production Grants provide services to documentary films directed and produced by New York area–based women filmmakers, thanks to Park Avenue Post and Bridge Multimedia. For details and to apply.

Nancy Malone Directing Award provides $1,000 to a New York area–based woman director for a narrative short or feature film. For details and to apply.

Nancy Malone Marketing and Promotion Grant provide resources to help an emerging woman director get her film recognized and ready for distribution. For details and to apply.
